i broke my glasses a few days back. been busy lately with NPCB's concert. oh its on 20th may 6 pm $6. Do COME =)) yes back to the topic.

another year older another year wiser.

indeed a year is a long long long time for a person to mature. thinking back when i was 16 still in secondary school life was more structured. now it is more freeform. poly is fun. but comparing now and then its really different.

gonna turn 17 in 10 days. i'm not sure if i am actually excited. lately a bombshell dropped on me. well been a bit hurt by it but still holding on. its different this time i took it really well. and have been really trying to change. i embrace change now, unlike when i was 16. change was initially difficult but its part and parcel oh life.

like they say, u gain some u lose some. usually we only see what we lose , but actually we gain something, something we probably never noticed.

after sucessfully completed the 1st week of poly (orientation) + a fewdays i must say its refreshing. off with the school uniforms off with the stupid hairstyles. the free dome of lots of things and the freedom of our study. appeals to me. lectures are fun. new friends made, ian , han ming, nicole, sian xia( i think), jia ling, etc etc .new fiends. i also met up with some of my old class mates like angelia!. its ages since we seen each other.

anyways here's the gist of the story. lectures lectures and more lectures. it appears that i only have lectures this week . lunch at cannteen 1 is fine lunch at sim is great.

oh did mention the band there?

it was fun wad we are currently preparing for pops and classics our next concert . do attend =D

i was reading it somewhere on the net. some one typed this " once a band member always a band member." i'd say thats really true. music added lots of colours to my life. i wished i learnt it earlier. the expression of wind band music. expression without words. feeling the expression in music. if the best feeling in the world. yes, better than sex( i'm being metaphoric, i don't mean it literally). have u every heard wind band music and just cried. i did and i'm proud of it. sprited away medley ( the one played by st hilda's was one piece). it reminded me about the love between chihiro and haku. and the greater things in life. another piece was ross roy ( overture for band ), which has a theme of school life. i was leaving kcpss then and missed it so bad. i missed not handing up my homework, failing my test, getting good grades and MOST of all KUO CHUAN PRESBYTERIAN SECONDARY SCHOOL CONCERT BAND. all the crazy band camps all the stupid things we do went thru 2 syfs ( 1 being a no show) and i just grow towards it.i started out as a horid tuba player. with determination i made to be the section leader of tuba and later section leader of tuba/euphonium. and my gosh, played so many pieces and had heck of fun. now i', inm ngee ann poly concert band, a hornist there. still enjoying it. i must say Once a Band Member, ALWAYS a BAND MEMBER!

Yesterday was the performance. and it was an experience to last me a life time. i teared when we played blue ridge saga. the intro was sooo beautiful. i'll pop a few fotos! the day began in school.we grabbed our instruments and blazers and went to the bus!
we arrived at esplanade at arround11 am .and went stright to the back stage.. oh did i mention the back stage look like some hospital wing lol!. people were anxious, excited even like 6 hours before the show. i under stand this surge of emotions. later at 1 pm we had our round of rehersal. and the play was shaping up. every asthetic group was looking good.. ! during hersersal we had to sit there and wait for our turn to play. after the long long rehersal we then had dinner which was the same yucky food that we had over and over again!. we then had a short break which we changed upand headed for tuning.

after that we waited behind the stage only to exit the staged facing 1500 audiences! wow what a sight it was. experiece of a life time. after we played the first song, copacabanana, a roaring applause was heard, cat calls cheering, " I LOVE BAND" was heard. wow what mood! foxtrot, was played following on. the same reaction was heard.

when we played blue ridge saga, i actually felt the music. the intro was beautiful, simply beautiful. when kuo jinn finish the solo there were people clapping cheering. wow for my 1st large scale concert this was fantastic. AWWSOME. may i LOVE KUO CHUAN PRESBYTERIAN SECONDARY SCHOOL BAND. i'll say that again I L-O-V-E KCB. i'll never forget this day. time seemed to passby so fast so awsome. its beyond words. people cried after the concert for a job well done . bravo!

Well 2 days ago was valentine's day and i was working with a bunch of ungrateful customers. the place i worked was PACKED. It Was Full! Customers were demanding for this and that and this and that. Oh Gosh it was a total mayhem. THe kitchen was Piled with loads of orders and impatient customers kept asking every other minute. HEY WAITERS ARE HUMAN BEINGS. WE DO NOT RECIEVE MORE PAY ON THIS DAY. AND WORST OF ALL GOODS AND SERVICE TAX DO NOT GO TO US. IT GOES TO THE GOVERNMENT!

Also some hillarious part about yester's day of work was that a guy was meeting another guy for dinner and he ordered a valentines day set. the strange thing is that he actually came and explaned that he and the other guy were not couples!

Top 4 Things i CAN"T stand
1: Charismatic Christians. Reason being that most of the time i'm not interested. Stop Bugging me. Yes i know Jesus died at the age of 33 and was born on christmas day ( thus the name lol!). i mean its ok to promote. but heck hell no to calling me up to go to church. personally i believe religion is a private matter. bah anyways thinking back like a year ago a group of christians came and tried promoting to me christianity. that was ok. i told them i was not interested but they continued. anyways from brent's blog there was this part about others not believing in christianity goes to hell. well i don't agree with that at all. i believe that every good person goes to heaven and the bad ones goes to hell. ( simple and clean, justice to all) anyways, during their 1st visit i just listened to them but during the 2nd visit i open and slammed the door lol! i know that was rude but hey i can't let them waste my precious 30 minutes. a tip to such people. If They REALLY want to convert they will visit the churches, there's no need for you to go door to door, thats just irritating

2:People Who Chase Musicians Away. The Main Reason Why Singapore has SUCH LIMITED talented musicians is that the silly people here thinks that musicians make noise. its just that they do not appreciate it at all. they will like call the cops but when the cops come they can't arrest us cauze we are not exceeding the dunno how many decible noise loudness. bullcrap. show some support to your fellow country men, concert bands, marching bands , rock bands, etc etc. show them some support you people. STOP JEERING AT Them. The Older Generation do not know how to appriciate such stuff AND SO STOP complaining.

3:Rude People. I work at a bistro yes there are many extremely rude people in Singapore, no wonder sociaty is becoming so ungracious. those who keep hurrying for ther food please take note, A BISTRO/ Restaurent SERVES FOOD in ABOUT 15 to 20 minutes, Fast FOOD Serves In Like 1 to5 Minutes. Can Wait Not? i've seen parents bitching infront of their kids about how slow service is i mean its like 1 staff VS 30 to 40 people. Omg Singaporeans Do USE YOur BRAINS. However on a side note there are really nice people too who are polite.

4:Smokers. i can't understand why does the government not want to band smoking completely. they started banning smoking every where, why not Just ban SMOKING? I Think it does generate a large amount of money from the heavy tax imposed on it. think about the benifits if you ban smoking, the sperm count in men will increase and that can counter aging population. they can use the time to smoke to do sumthing more worthwhile like say have sex or sumthing.
Furthermore we then can really be a more Clean and Green City without the dosen of cigarette butts lying every where.

Its the second day of the Chinese New Year. A New year filled with ang paos! hahahaha. went visiting today at various areas in singapore . went to tampines to visit my grandma and grandpa as well as my aunt and uncles. went to play catching with my cousins lol (why the hell i do that i don't know). after which i went to my other grandma and grand pa's house. i pla yed black jack there and won about $8 not bad for half an hours of work. haha. went to sing kareok at my unce's kareok room lol. then went to orchard to watch i not stupid too. i think its a really got show although the strait times rated it 2 1/2 stars. i think the reviwerer lacks emotion and is probably a robot. jack neo did a good job writing the script but i think he did a SO-SO job of being an actor. xiang yun is losing it her acting skills are mediocre at best. bah

Today I Went For Band Prac! Weeee. Apprently was quite a ok day. apart from certain parts of the day when someone was unrepentent about doing sumthing and tried to make me look bad by doing sumthing. i forgive the person. :). if u want a fight, i will let u win. theres no prize for winning either and no penalty for losing.

after band prac went to mcdonels. there was mediacorp fliming some crap show. with the boy form young bao ming tian. OMG another Band Hair Day Incident. WTH is mediacorp thinking. That hair style is way ugly. The girls in tat show look like those in yellow areas. uber mini skirts. ah lian hair styles with certain portions highlited. worst of all the lighting was way irritating. so bright. bleh.

if any teachers or who so ever sees my blog. or what so ever. if the place is outright stingy to a bunch of students who slog their guts out to help that blardy place by even refusing them a basic requirement " aircon". the place gave them a small room with crap acoustics. did i say crap i mean shitty. how do you ever expect a band to grow if u confine them to a shitty place. its just like bonsai kittens ( yes i know its sick for people to put kittens tightly squeezed into a jar and glueing their asshole and bladder so that they do not shit nor urinate.) they will never grow no exposure no nuthing. furmore to add on. i heard sOMeone (the letters in caps a BIG clue) say that person want to send us the bill. sure go ahead. i send the bill to the Ministry Of Education. its extortion and furthermore to think that they actually forbid extortion. since school is like that maybe i shall extort in the future ahahaha!. Those Dear Student PAY SCHOOL FEES. THEY SHOULD BE ENTITLED To USE SCHOOL PROPERTY. And Also The Teachers are not playing a great part themselves. they are no longer the supportive kind who encourages you all the time. in that particular place u can see teachers commenting that this group of pupils suck or treat them as outcasts and show fravouritism. now students fend for themselves. so go ahead flame me is u are a hard core k c pi an. go flood my tag go on.

The 4th level aircons are never used they are used say afew days a year? the school like bankcrupt liddat. they want some autonomous status so can increase school fees hahahahaha. i wonder which school am i talking about.

This picture was taken at the esplanade after the horrible prom. The prom was really badly done ( hotel would be a much better choice). Talkabout the hotel being expansive ($30 to $70) but the prom in school cost $45. It included crappy food ( not a free flow buffet), live band ( ronin, electrico would be better) and no games ( seriously no games, no table games or anything.) further more there was no service for $45 other then the poor council members serving us limited amount of drinks ( they had to go out and buy more due to the lack of drinks). horrendous. they should have been able to seen such stuff coming. and they only relied on the caterers? the food was horrible. and most people did not rock to roin even though i enjoyed it lol. the decorations are well horrible. a few strips of cloth + some aluminium foiled stars . all this would cost like $45 per head? outragous. the reception area has those things that wires were coiled on to only couvered by a cloth( though you were smart huh? damn stupid idea.) horrible. i want my money back.

Alright. Coverage of The 2005th KCB Camp. Intially, We Just Had Practices in our school auditorium. Practiced Blue Ridge Saga with Guest Player, Mr Kenneth Koh on the Tuba. We Practiced Until Like 4 And Then we had games. Mr Kenneth Koh was playing soccer with Mr Andy Sim (yes only the 2 of them). After series of long passes, the games were stopped due to the next o level papers.

Practice resumes and we completed Blue Ridge Saga. Soon It Was Dinner time ( Yum!). After that was Practice again.

Then It Was TIme For NIGHT GAMES!

Day 2

Morning the sun rises and breakfast was served,

After that Lunch Was Served.

Then The "I'm The BEST" Game Proceeded.
Rules Are Extremely Simple.
1. Be Confident And Tell The Judges That You Are The Best.

I Must Say that this game was pure torture for some people who had no confidence.
Just saying i am the best was not enough. Body language comes in, eye contect and many more.
I did not manage to succeed in the 1st try but i pressed on and eventually managed to pass.
The KCB spirit was Strong and we Are unbeatable. We encouraged each other even though not every one was confident. This feeling is beyond words. Tears filled many people's eyes incuding mine.

about my secondary school days. Believe me i wish not to leave school and rebel about everything like the "Down With The Student Council" scheme. Listening To Ross Roy And understanding its theme really makes me think. Why would some one commisson a composer to composer a piece about a school. But I'm Really Glad that The Did. Ross Roy is overplayed BUT Is Indeed a Fantastic Piece. Although Technically its not that difficult but emotions are required to play this piece.

Anyways, back to the topic. School really developed me a lot. With People like Mr Lawrence Tan( Kudos to You.), Mr Chong ( My initiater in Music). Just Nurtured Me To Who i Am And What i am.haha. Thanks Guys.

been listening to pacific dreams by jacob de haan. i think that this piece has is great, different mood of the piece seems so real unlike singapore rhapsody(comissioned my moe) which give a forced feeling of combining classic singaporean tunes. the only syf set piece that is actually really fantastic was singapore suite by jan van der roost. but thats just my opinion. if anyone out there is reading my blog and have great band literature to recomand please tag! orientales by thomas doss is great too although i only enjoyed it after my second hearing lol

1st. I enjoy farting on a pillow named ,"fart Pillow", and forcefully use it to cover my brother dearest's face. his reaction was hellafunny. he would usually shout and screamed lol.talk about a 16 year old bullying a 14 year old.

i was thinking to make a kcb blog. cauze the original site is now closed. i guess we can link the kcb blog to members and to yahoo fotos to show our fotos. but that is only in the considering process.

today my specs broke during physics paper 1. half way ear itchy go scratch. suddenly i become cheh meh! every thing all blur blur. then i notice my specs on the table. the left side of the specs break. doing paper half way feel very dizzy. teacher also no compassion one never offer tape to tape my broken side back so i can see. wha liao. dunno if the really wan me to fail or sumthing( i doubt so they are good teachers)

with a dizzy head do physics a bit scared.

the school hall was was like one big refridgerator. very vey cold.

after the paper yeo and harry ask me wan go eat not butten i say no. cauze head already how to to j8 eat. i ate in the school canteen with vegetable rice. yum. the uncle and auntie of the shop are very nice people funny also.

afternoon cannot study. blind how to study? heard from leo and nic say that mr sim requested for me to play tml. i said ok. anyways i dunno how to do a maths ok. but bio must study. anyways 30 mins only so should be quite ok i guess.

back to the specs thingy. ok then in the evening i went to "Tony's Buget Optics" to get some new specs choose a funky one haha. metal black rim with plastic sides. quite cool i guess.

today i have seen the gracious forigner and the selfish singaporean.
i was really amazed by the graciousness of a forigner helping my grandfather who was having troble with the escalator. of course my dad was already there supporting my grandaddy but he still help( imagine an old man who was having trouble walking. talk about going on an escalator). the forigner said something like , " you have father i have a father too". wow i salute this man.

Singaporeans have again dissapointed me( or more specifically the people waiting for bus 410 green at the bishan interchange). a young girl aged around 12 to 14 was sitting the the railing refusing to move. it is simple courtesy to just move when others want to line up for the the bus. if u'd actually grow some brains you would just move? i noticed that our sociaty is getting from bad to worst. school discipline is on the constant decline(most schools. not all schools). graciousness of the kampong days are running dry.Although i believe in social thinking singaporeans however the new generation is becoming more selfcentred. singaporeans this is my plea; do something about it.
